O reggae é o único ritmo universal e quando se trata de um bom reggae produzido fora da Jamaica não podemos esquecer de falar da Suécia. Que através do grupo de wave Secret Service nos presenteou com "Crossing a River" nos anos 80, som esse que até hoje é tocado nas pistas do reggae no Brasil.
A banda Secret Service foi fundada por Ola Håkansson e o primeiro trabalho do grupo foi "Oh Susie", um compacto que se tornou sucesso em outros países da Europa e América Latina, outros sucessos se seguiram mais o abraçado em terras brasileiras foi "Ye Si Ca" que trouxe o brilhante reggae "Crossing a River".
A banda Secret Service não era uma banda de reggae mais assim como acontece com outros artistas de outros estilos o Secret inclementou em seu trabalho o bom roots.
Quando o assunto é reggae na Suécia existem seus artistas próprios de reggae como a "The Roots Circus" comandada pela vocalista linda Glad, "The Reggaeterins" e "Rootvalta".

Reggae is the only universal rhythm, and when it comes to good reggae produced outside of Jamaica, we can't forget to mention Sweden. Through the wave group Secret Service, they presented us with "Crossing a River" in the 80s, a sound that is still played on reggae tracks in Brazil.
Secret Service band was founded by Ola Håkansson, and their first work was "Oh Susie," a single that became successful in other countries in Europe and Latin America. Other successes followed, but the one embraced in Brazilian lands was "Ye Si Ca," which brought the brilliant reggae "Crossing a River."
The Secret Service band was not a reggae band, but just as it happens with other artists of different styles, Secret incorporated good roots into their work.
When it comes to reggae in Sweden, there are their own reggae artists such as "The Roots Circus" led by the lovely vocalist Glad, "The Reggaeterins," and "Rootvalta."
