Luddy Pioneer e Sydney Crooks são alguns dos nomes que reconhecem o produtor e cantor jamaicano de reggae Norris Cole, que celebrou seu aniversário no último dia 24 de fevereiro.
Norris começou sua carreira no início dos anos 60 quando fundou um grupo chamado "Spectacullars". Logo depois, formou o grupo "The Pioneers" juntamente com Winston e seu irmão Derrick Crooks, sendo este grupo um passo fundamental para o seu sucesso. O grupo passou por sete formações, sendo a mais famosa composta por Norris Cole, George Dekker e Jackie Robson.
Embora o grupo "The Pioneers" tenha encerrado suas atividades, os artistas das diferentes formações continuam suas carreiras até hoje, realizando shows e produzindo músicas.
Cole já produziu vários nomes de sucesso do cenário reggae, como Gregory Isaacs e Delroy Wilson, entre outros.
Atualmente, reside no Brasil, no estado do Maranhão, onde já se apresentou em várias localidades realizando shows.
É casado com Lady Conceição e tem um filho, Júnior Cole, que também segue carreira como cantor.
Norris Cole foi amigo do rei Bob Marley e, por coincidência, nasceu no mesmo ano e mês que Bob, embora não na mesma data.

Luddy Pioneer and Sydney Crooks are some of the names that recognize Jamaican reggae producer and singer Norris Cole, who celebrated his birthday on February 24th.
Norris began his career in the early 1960s when he founded a group called "Spectacullars". Soon after, he formed the group "The Pioneers" together with Winston and his brother Derrick Crooks, with this group being a crucial step towards his success. The group went through seven formations, with the most famous consisting of Norris Cole, George Dekker, and Jackie Robson.
Although the group "The Pioneers" ceased its activities, the artists from the different formations continue their careers to this day, performing shows and producing music.
Cole has produced several successful names in the reggae scene, such as Gregory Isaacs and Delroy Wilson, among others.
He currently resides in Brazil, in the state of Maranhão, where he has performed in various locations, giving shows.
He is married to Lady Conceição and has a son, Júnior Cole, who also pursues a career as a singer.
